Now that we have completed the first quarter of the school year, you are probably having conversations with your children about the achievements they have made and the expectations you have for them as the school year continues. It is a natural part of the process of continuous improvement that is the hallmark of Catholic schools.
In the same way, in each of our schools we consistently take stock of what has gone before us and set our expectations for the future of the school. As parents in the schools of the Diocese of Metuchen, you are an important part of that future and your insights are important to us. In the spirit of continuous improvement, all of the parents in the Catholic schools in our diocese are asked to complete a parent survey on the Climate and Culture in your child’s school. If you have children in more than one school, you will receive more than one letter, please respond to each school request.
The survey will be available to you on Monday, November 26, 2018 and will remain open in December. To access the survey, please go to eprovesurveys.advanc-ed.org/surveys/#/action/84135/p33469
We are blessed in our diocese with a strong network of schools that work together collaboratively and strive to consistently improve our Catholic identity and our academic standards. You participation in the surveys you receive during the year is an important part of the improvement process. In his pastoral letter, Bishop Checchio challenged us to make Catholic schools places where we “education our young people to be truly free, intellectually honest and dynamically prepared to engage the wider culture with confidence.”
Thank you for entrusting your children to a Catholic school. I am looking forward to seeing the results of all of these surveys.
